What it does

30-second rig check on a tablet at the side of the bay.

Every shift, every apparatus, every day. The rig check happens. It used to happen on a clipboard with a pen and the clipboard would live in a drawer.

Watchroom's rig check is a tablet at the side of the bay. The firefighter taps through. Items the dept defines, organized by apparatus. A failed item opens a work order automatically, takes the rig OOS, and surfaces on the next dispatch.

How it works

Three things that change.

Per-apparatus checklists Each apparatus has its own checklist — E21 has different items than M3. Items grouped by section. Photos required where needed.
Auto-open work order on fail Failing item opens a work order with the failure details pre-populated. The apparatus officer doesn't have to take a separate action.
Sign + date capture Firefighter signs the completed check. Audit trail shows who checked the rig, when, and what was flagged.
Connected

Talks to every other module.

No CSV exports, no batch jobs, no reconciling two systems by hand. When something happens in one module, the others already know.

Apparatus & Fleet Failing rig-check items open apparatus work orders automatically. CAD Rig OOS from a failed check propagates to CAD dispatch — same path as work-order-driven OOS. Controlled Substances Daily check reconciles controlled-substance counts on the medic unit. SCBA & PPE Compliance SCBA cylinder pressures captured on the rig check feed the SCBA compliance module.
